The most wonderful part of this Christmas was that Ellie was finally old enough to begin to understand the reason we celebrate Christmas. She now knows a bit about Baby Jesus, his Mama and Daddy, and the Angels, Wise Men and Shepherds. She especially loves how all the animals come and visit Baby Jesus. She calls him "Baby Tee-tuss!" She loves to hold him and rock him----yes, that tiny baby figure in the stable there. It's quite cute. I'm looking forward to next year when she will be able to understand more of the Who and Why of Christmas, but this was a beginning!
